patterns for obitsu 11cm doll head, plain anime version without inset eyes (i'll get a picture for this later to clarify which head it is)

beanie, lace weight alpaca yarn (filcolana alva), 2mm needles (i knit this flat).

this pattern is so far only tested on a bald head, there is room to stretch in the finished project but it might slide off hair, so i'll have to update on that later.
co 44st (but preferrably do a swatch test first and try calculate your own gauge). k1p1 rib for the entire hat, use k2tog/p2tog decreases to shape the top end. since i knit it flat, i stitched it up at the end. the height of the finished hat should be around the height of the obitsu's head to fit properly, if you make it around 1cm (or slightly less) taller than the obitsu head, you will have good length for a folded-up brim. if you dont want a folded brim make it just about the height of the head or slightly less. this size fits just right with good room to stretch (with my gauge), stays on the doll, but has only been tested on a bald doll so will see how it goes with hair eventually.

beanie, fingering weight cotton yarn (on the thinner side), 2mm needles (i knit this flat

co 30st (but preferrably do a swatch test first and try calculate your own gauge). k1p1 for 2 rows, then stockinette. you want to make the hat approximately the height of the entire obitsu head, with it being up to 1cm taller than the head if you want a foldable brim (which might also need 32st co instead for more room). for me a non-folded-brim hat is approximately 15 rows stockinette (+2 rows k1p1 at first) tall. i use k2tog/p2tog decreases for the last rows.
